- Beginner conveyor belt: wide, flat area perfect for the first contact with skiing.
- Beginner lift: provides access to a long, wide green slope that's very comfortable for linking turns and gaining confidence.
- Clot der Os (4-seater detachable chairlift): takes you to higher elevations, but without an instructor who knows the route well, you could end up on slopes not suitable for your level.
Additionally, Beret offers a reduced beginner ski pass, ideal for your first day if you're not yet going to explore the rest of the resort.
Bonaigua: ideal for the first hours
The Bonaigua sector has a very comfortable start for beginners:
Progression in Bonaigua
- Beginner rope tow: perfect for the first wedge supports.
- Two-seater chairlift (intermediate stop): very short and simple green slope, ideal for the first two hours of learning.
From here, the progression becomes more complicated: the next option is Argulls (easy blue slope but long and with traffic from faster skiers). This makes it less suitable for a beginner on their third day, compared to the much more logical progression in Baqueira and Beret.
Access, parking and services for families
- Baqueira 1800: you need to go up by cable car (walking pass approx. €21 for accompanying non-skiers). Cafeteria areas next to beginner areas, ideal for breaks. Free outdoor parking (requires walking to the chairlift) and paid covered option (approx. €15, more comfortable).
- Beret: direct access by car, free outdoor parking. Meeting point in front of the pass control tower and equipment rental at the foot of the slopes.
- Bonaigua: free outdoor parking right in front of the cafeteria. Direct access from your car and family atmosphere.

- Baqueira: upper exit of the cable car (elevation 1800).
- Beret: control tower (in front of the pass ticket offices).

- Not starting with an instructor: the first steps are the foundation of your future as a skier. A bad start creates blocks, fears and bad habits that are very difficult to correct later.
- Skipping progressions too soon: going up to a blue slope without mastering advanced wedge is one of the most common causes of scares and frustrations.
- Choosing the wrong time slot: if you only have 2-3 hours or want to avoid crowds, we recommend starting lessons from 1:45 PM. From 1:30 PM there's a reduced pass and the slopes become much emptier.
- Snow conditions: each sector and each time of day offers different qualities (harder in the morning, softer at midday). At Alpine Ski Academy we always guide our students to the best area at each moment.
